The road to cloud computing




Establish a physical infrastructure at the business level is not only a complicated job, it is also expensive. The need for a better IT infrastructure lies in generating services through an information system, which provides our customers and even employees with solutions to those problems.




The basic concept of infrastructure is a simple machine or PC on which we expose a service in our local network or even abroad using a public ip or a domain service (DNS), however if the number of users grows too much that single machine will not be able to attend to all; This forces the company to have an IT department that manages a stack of servers that can handle the exponential growth of users of our service.




However, this solution has a limit, you must have a space for a datacenter and manage that requires a high cost and not only for people but for electricity, refrigeration and logistics.




When we exceed the threshold of our infrastructure we must make two decisions, either spend more money on our own physical infrastructure, or look at all our content to a cloud computing provider.




The concept of IaaS (Infrastructure as a service), PaaS (Platform as a service) allows to generate a scalable infrastructure to the needs of the user, both the IT Infrastructure professional and the developer, within the PaaS and SaaS components (Software as a service)
